Born on July 28th, 1929 in Southampton, New York, Jacqueline Lee Bouvier would later become the wife of the 35th President of the United States. However, even before and after her marriage, she was a beloved and admired figure in her own right.

Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, at 34 years old, has not followed in the footsteps of her politically renowned family members by pursuing a career in politics, despite her involvement in some political campaigns. Nonetheless, she shares some similarities with her grandmother. Besides their physical resemblance, they also have common interests. During her college days, Jacqueline Kennedy wrote for her school’s newspaper and received an offer for a junior editor position at Vogue after completing her studies.
Rose, a gifted writer, graduated from Harvard in 2010 with a degree in English following her attendance at a private all-girls high school. She has since written her own comedy series called End Times Girls Club, which according to Mashable, serves as a “guide to female-focused apocalypse survival.”
Rose explained to the website that the inspiration for the show came from observing New York’s response to Hurricane Sandy and noticing how ill-prepared people were, particularly girls who were portrayed as damsels in distress.
In the special election held in Massachusetts in 2010, Rose actively participated in the campaign of Democrat Alan Khazei as a volunteer. Moreover, during the 2008 presidential election, she made a donation to Barack Obama’s campaign. It’s apparent that her family’s political inclination runs in her blood.
Rose bears the name of her maternal great-grandmother, Rose Kennedy. However, many people often liken her appearance to that of her maternal grandmother, the former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Sadly, Jaqueline passed away in 1994 when Rose was just 6 years old. The pair were close during Rose’s childhood, and Rose called her ”Grand Jackie.”

Besides being close to her grandmother, Jackie had also a strong bond with her uncle and JFK’s oldest son John F. Kennedy Jr. When JFK Jr died in a tragic plane crash on July 16, 1999, it was a huge blow for Rose.
“He’d been like a father to her. She went into a six-month depression during which she barely spoke to anyone. She stopped eating — she must have lost 30 pounds,” Kennedy’s biographer, C. David Heymann said in an interview with The Post.
Rose, as per sources from Wikipedia and The National Enquirer, tied the knot with restauranteur Rory McAuliffe in May 2022.
The couple had been in a long-term relationship for many years and first met when Rory was working as a caterer in Hyannis Port, Mass., close to the Kennedy compound.
Sources close to the family informed The Enquirer in 2021 that Rose had been with Rory for the past eight years, and her mother, Caroline, already considered him part of the family. Interestingly, according to the tabloid and insiders, Jackie Kennedy would have supported the same-sex marriage.
As I observe these photographs, it appears evident that the deceased former first lady would feel a sense of pride towards her grandchildren. It is truly remarkable to see such a magnificent heritage!
