Mom discovers son’s grave plot is greener, thanks to a mystery helper

When Jake Reissig’s wife passed away, he was heartbroken. But he made sure their love never died. Every day, the elderly man from Texas visited his wife’s grave, leaving roses and watering the grass around her headstone. They had been married for 65 years and had nine children. Jake treasured his family and often met them for coffee. One day, he saw a woman crying at another grave. He approached her and asked if she was okay. What Mr. Reissig did next will restore your faith in humanity.

As Mr. Reissig approached the sobbing woman, he learned that the grave belonged to her husband, Joseph Anthony Villasenor. Joseph had served in the US military for 16 years and was a beloved soldier. He had a special love for sports, with softball being his favorite. Joseph had been selected to pitch for the Charleston Air Force Base Air Force Softball League and was on his way to a game when he was tragically killed in a car accident at the young age of 36.

Mr. Reissig was so moved by the woman’s story and wanted to help her and honor her husband. He started watering Joseph’s grave along with his wife’s every day. When Joseph’s parents, Rachel and Raymond, came to visit their son’s resting place, they were amazed by the vibrant greenness of his plot. Rachel saw it as nothing short of a miracle.

Rachel expressed her awe, stating, “It was simply incredible to discover that a stranger would devote so much time and care to our son, someone he had never even known.” To learn more about this compassionate and committed individual, watch the video below.
