The Welsh broadcaster, known for posting intense workout videos on Instagram, has won fans over, with many affectionately dubbing her “Supervorders.”

Carol Vorderman, 63, recently marked an impressive 40 years on television, boasting over 10,000 appearances on popular shows like Countdown, Lorraine, The Great Celebrity Bake Off, and This Morning.
But Carol is more than just a beautiful face—she’s a powerhouse of intelligence and skill. In 2014, the mother of two earned her private pilot’s license, and the following year, she joined forces with NASA, serving on the board of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education. In this role, she has inspired countless children to explore and engage with space science.
When she’s not on TV impressing audiences, the former Have I Got News for You host stays dedicated to her workouts, keeping her strong and fit.
“Women in their 60s didn’t grow up with exercise as a focus… But as you age, it’s important to do weight-bearing exercises, stretch, and squat,” Vorderman told HELLO! “If you stop, even for a couple of weeks, you start feeling stiff. Because I’m in the public eye, I have to pay more attention to my looks—more than I’d like sometimes.”
Recently, she shared some gym photos, showing off her toned figure in a grey crop top and tight leggings.
Captioning her post, Vorderman wrote, “Five gym sessions this week. Feels great to get back into the routine. Eating clean, lots of water, walking, fresh air…my happy place, to be honest.”
The photos showed a sweaty Vorderman lifting weights and doing cable curls, highlighting her toned figure.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with compliments. One wrote, “Fountain of youth! You look so young,” while another simply called her “Supervorders.”
Some added flirty comments, like “I don’t think I could keep up with you, but I’d love to try,” and another said, “I think I need to rewatch the third clip a few more times to get the technique down.”
One fan, referencing her “special friends,” joked, “What a way to spend the weekend—with a special friend!”
Her post came just after This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary, teasing her absence on the show, playfully mentioned her love life. The 50-year-old, who’s also known for The X Factor UK, couldn’t resist poking fun at his friend and co-star.
Co-host Alison Hammond couldn’t hold back her laughter when Dermot O’Leary cracked a perfectly-timed joke about Carol Vorderman’s “10-year-long, no-strings-attached relationships with multiple men, who she calls her ‘special friends.’”
As the show invited viewers to call in to chat with astrologer Hagan Fox, a woman phoned in, mentioning she was dating three men and needed guidance on her “love square.”
Giggling, Hammond asked, “Did you say love square?”
Dermot quickly added, “You wouldn’t be Carol Vorderman, would you?”
Vorderman, the former Loose Women host, is open about her love life, sharing in an earlier interview that her setup with multiple partners works well for her, as she’s not looking to fall in love.
Since her split from journalist Des Kelly in 2007, Carol Vorderman—previously married to Christopher Mather (1985-1986) and then to her children’s father, Patrick King (1990-2000)—says she values the independence and freedom that come with being single.
“I don’t want to marry again or live with a man. I don’t want to be constantly taking care of someone. It’s time to challenge this idea that you need just one person who fulfills everything in your life. To me, that sounds awful.”
Vorderman, who describes herself as non-jealous, shared that her partners are single men who are free to see others. “There’s no harm done; it’s a happy arrangement.”
“They don’t know each other, but they’re aware of the situation. It’s very honest,” she explained of her five “special friends.” “One has been in my life for 11 years, another for seven. My kids, Katie (31) and Cameron (25), know most of them.”
Backing up her love for single life, Carol posted a fun video of herself lip-syncing and dancing to “It’s Raining Men.”
Fans loved her moves, with comments pouring in like, “Carol, that is absolutely brilliant—amazing dance moves!” and “The Vord has defeated the Borg. Resistance is futile.” Another simply added, “Bloody gorgeous woman.”
Carol Vorderman shows great discipline in her workout routine, and we admire her for staying true to herself and her relationships!
